        our story

Shawn and I were both raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. We have been a part of each other’s lives from the beginning, as our families have been close friends for the better part of three decades. While we both harbored secret crushes on each other throughout our teenage years, it wasn’t until we were in college that we confessed our feelings, fell madly in love and embarked on the 4-and-a-half year journey of a long distance relationship. Shawn traveled the world serving our country while I completed graduate school and pursued career ambitions. Eventually our lives aligned and we were able to finally be in one place at one time. Shawn wasted no time in locking things down. We got engaged on our 5 year anniversary, married at the courthouse on our 6th year, and together we planned the most epic weekend of wedding celebrations with our family and friends that none of us will soon forget. Shawn’s day gig is serving as a Surface Warfare Officer with the U.S. Navy, which has gifted us the opportunity to live all over the beautiful USA. We currently live in lovely San Diego, CA with our son Jaxton, pup and two cats. Our life can be wild, crazy and anything but ordinary, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

You Have Questions. We Have Answers.
How long have you been planning events?
How do you work with couples who live in a different city or even a different state?
Do you have a niche in regards to the type of weddings you work on?
What if you haven't worked at my venue or with my vendors?
Since 2009. In addition to weddings I've designed and coordinated independently, I've worked at award-winning wedding and social event planning companies in Washington, DC, Charlottesville, VA, and Oahu, Hawaii. I've done everything from an intimate family-only backyard vow renewal to an enchanting black-tie estate wedding. I've planned a charming, 40-guest restaurant opening party, an elegant, 300-guest ambassador's dinner hosted at Thomas Jefferson's house, Monticello, an edgy, 500+ guest national brand launch, and everything in between.
