Tropical Lake House Wedding in Ft. Pierce, FL

While we love any wedding that we get to be a part of, it is especially exciting to play a part in our friends’ weddings. Well before I joined forces with Caitlin and Brian as their wedding coordinator, Shawn was asked to be one of the groomsmen. Brian is one of Shawn’s closest friends from his college days (he was a groomsman in our wedding too!). And while we were living in Washington, DC a few years ago, we got to meet beautiful Caitlin. These two love and cherish each other like nothing else. Brian and Caitlin’s relationship is rooted in encouragement, understanding, care and honest to goodness joy. What is more beautiful than that?

Caitlin and Brian chose Pineapple Lake House in Ft. Pierce, FL for their rustic and tropical celebration. The pair had a very clear vision for how to make the most of their day. They wanted to ensure they’d have time with each guest so they hosted a one-of-a-kind day of events.

        From the Bride:

“I loved having the people we cared about most all in one place. We had things spread out to fill the entire day and I felt like I had special time with nearly all of our guests.”

        From the Bride:

“Brian and I had a moment before the ceremony where he surprised me by coming to pray with me (from the other side of the door.) That meant so much. My wedding gift to him was a journal I’d been keeping for 10+ years to my future husband. It was so special to write a final note to him on the last page before sending it his way.”

        From the Bride:

It was so special to see Brian get emotional throughout our ceremony and then to spend the night celebrating with our friends and family!”

Following a morning ceremony and brunch, guests either played lawn games on property or went out into town to explore. At sunset, everyone returned for a party full of eating, dancing and singing until they lost their voices.
