Eclectic, Charming Barn Wedding Outside Portland, OR
Aly and Andy are the kind of people you meet who go from strangers to family in about 20 minutes. They are just one of the most refreshingly authentic, charismatic couples and we feel lucky to call them friends.
We traveled up to gorgeous Portland, OR for this eclectic Barn Kestrel wedding. The day was perfect evidence that when it comes to wedding planning, staying true to yourselves is a must. What we loved most about this couple was they focused their energies on what was most important to them. Food, drinks and celebrating mattered most to Aly and Andy, and the Big Day did not disappoint.
Friends and family rallied together the day prior to the I Do’s to decorate the venue with thoughtful, simple details. This included stringing 200 postcards around the barn that Aly had sent Andy every day while they were long distance. Each one said “I love you” in a different language. How sweet is that! The couple let the sweeping country views and romantic gardens take care of the rest.
Aly and Andy had collected vintage glasses as thank you gifts for their guests and set up a DIY bar stocked with their favorite drinks. It’s easy to say that everyone in attendance had a really good time.
During the reception guests enjoyed visiting with the horses on property and taking full advantage of the photo booth. We’ve never seen a group of people know how to work it for the camera so well! In addition to super delicious food truck noms there was so much dancing. It was awesome. We loved seeing Aly and Andy out on the dance floor with everyone who had flown in from all over the country to celebrate.
